M L22 Pill - Mylan's Generic Version of Zestril
What is Mylan's M L22 pill? What kind of medication
is the small round light blue pill indexed with M on
one side and L22 ("L" above "22") on the other?
Mylan's M L22 pill is 2.5mg Lisinopril
(generic Zestril). The medicine is in a group of drugs called ACE
(angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitors. It is mainly used for
treating high blood pressure (hypertension), managing heart failure
or improving survival after a heart attack. Lisinopril can also
be used to prevent renal and retinal complications of diabetes.
Lisinopril is the lysine-analog of enalapril. Unlike other ACE
inhibitors, it is not a prodrug and is excreted unchanged in the
urine. In cases of overdosage, it can be removed from circulation
by dialysis.
Lisinopril's brand names include Zestril, Prinivil, and Hypernil.
Mylan's M L22 Lisinopril pill is the least available dose of
the medication. Each pill only contains 2.5mg of Lisinopril.
