Mylan's M 755 Pill

What does Mylan Pharmaceuticals manufacture as M 755 pill? What kind of medication is the blue-colored oblong pill with "M 755" stamped on one side (the other side is blank)?

Mylan's M 755 pill is Fexofenadine hydrochloride 180 mg, a generic version of the medication otherwise known under the brand name Allegra. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children aged 2 and above. The medication is also used to treat uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children of 6 months and older.

In adults and children aged 12 and older, the recommended dose of Fexofenadine HCl is 180 mg once daily (that equals one M 755 pill), or 60 mg taken twice during the day (e.g., two M 752 pills taken twice a day). A dose of 60 mg daily is recommended as the starting dose in patients with decreased renal function. The medication is taken with water.

In children aged 6 to 11, the recommended dose of Fexofenadine HCl pills is 30 mg twice a day. In children under 6 years old, an oral suspension of Fexofenadine HCl is usually used instead of pills (in doses of 15 to 30 mg twice daily).

As you may see, M 755 pill may not always be recommended for every occasion as the dosage of Fexofenadine HCl in it can be too high for some patients.
